Guided Scrambling
As the name suggests, we’ll guide you on some scrambles! Classics, esoteric hidden gems, big days out linking lots of scrambles or just a jolly good day out in the mountains.
Scrambling is such a great way to explore the mountains and sometimes to take a more interesting route to the summit; We will match the routes and the day to suit your aims and ability.

Intro to scrambling course
Scrambles are generally graded 1-3; an intro to scrambling course would cover grade 1 scrambles where there is usually no requirement to use a rope. We would likely focus on building confidence on grade 1 terrain, movement skills, route finding and interpretation of guidebooks. This course would be a building block to ensure you were confident to be independent on grade 1 scrambling ground in the mountains.
2 day course minimum.

Advanced Scrambling Course
An advanced scrambling course with us would cover movement skills on scrambling terrain that is graded 2-3 and the associated relevant rope work skills. This course would be tailor made to your needs and would suit individuals who are already confident on grade 1 ground or are looking to become more independent in the mountains. This course would work well for you if you are either looking for an introduction to roped scrambling on grade 2-3 ground or are looking to begin to lead your own scrambles at this grade and want to build the skills to safely do so.
2 day course minimum.

Navigation Skills
A navigation skills course with us would be suitable for anyone at any level of navigation, whether you are looking to learn the basics and keep yourself safe independently in the hills and mountains or whether you want to focus on particular skills such as micro navigation and contour interpretation. This course would also be suitable for anyone who is looking for a navigation skills refresher to update their skills or prior to an assessment for one of the Mountain Training awards.
1-3 day courses available.
