About me

Hi, my name is Tom Kirby

Originally from Lancashire; now lucky to be living by the sea in Pembrokeshire. I studied Outdoor Leadership at university and have worked in the outdoor industry for the last 15 years throughout the UK and in the Alps; I really enjoy teaching outdoors and sharing knowledge.

About me

I spend most of my spare time exploring outdoors with my 3 year old daughter but remain passionate about climbing, skiing and surfing. I love reading, swimming in the sea and eating cake!

I hold the Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor award and I am a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI), as well as a variety of qualifications in other activities and fields. I am also a volunteer crew member on the St Davids RNLI Lifeboat crew.

I’m really lucky in the sense that this business allows me to do the kind of work I’m passionate about in a place that I love; as well as meeting lots of interesting people along the way and introducing them to new skills in a beautiful setting!

The vast majority of courses are delivered by myself, but occasionally I may choose to employ other suitably qualified and enthusiastic instructors who are known to me personally.
